About London Drivers Voice
London Drivers Voice is an independent platform run by licensed PHV drivers in London. It exists to give working drivers a voice on the issues that affect their livelihoods, including fuel costs, platform fairness, government policy, and the coming wave of autonomous vehicles.
We publish evidence-based news and analysis, drawing on publicly available data from the House of Commons Library, the RAC, Goldman Sachs, academic research, and trade publications.
We are not affiliated with any union, platform, or political organisation. We take no money from platforms, political parties, or commercial interests. We do not represent any individual, company, or commercial interest. We are drivers writing for drivers.
Why This Site Exists
London has over 110,000 licensed PHV drivers. Most are working-class people who keep this city moving around the clock. When fuel prices spike, when new taxes arrive, when driverless taxis are announced, drivers are the last to be consulted and the first to bear the cost. This site exists to change that.
